Bulk cargo handling is one of the port work projects. In the process of bulk cargo circulation, to speed up the shipment speed and save costs, the "four bulk" technology, namely bulk, bulk transportation, bulk unloading, and bulk storage technology, is usually adopted. For example, in ocean transportation, unpackaged bulk cargo is usually loaded directly and transported. After arriving at the destination port, it is unloaded to the truck by bulk unloading and then transported to the storage warehouse by the latter. In the process of bulk unloading, the grab bucket of the gantry crane usually grabs the bulk cargo from the ship and then pours the grabbed bulk cargo into a hopper. The bulk cargo poured into the hopper will automatically flow to the truck below it or onto the belt conveyor.
The hopper is suitable for loading and unloading almost all bulk materials. Such as gypsum, cement clinker, slag, sulfur, nickel ore, iron ore, refined copper ore, coal, bentonite, soda powder, limestone, grain, etc.
